Privacy Policy

Last updated July 10, 2026

Your prompts, your gallery, your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Seedance Studio (“we”, “us” or “our”), operator of tryseedance.ai, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and app. By using Seedance Studio you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile details such as your name and avatar.
  • Content: the prompts, reference images, and other Input you submit, along with the videos and images (“Output”) you generate.
  • Billing information: your subscription plan, credit balance, and transaction history. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we receive confirmation and metadata, not your full card number.
  • Usage & device data: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the service — authenticate you, generate content, and store your gallery.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and prevent fraud.
  • Maintain security, debug issues, and improve reliability and features.
  • Communicate with you about your account, including magic-link sign-in emails and important service notices.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Service providers

We share information with trusted third parties who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the service:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and media.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • BytePlus / ByteDance Seed — the Seedance models that generate your videos and images from your prompts and reference media.

These providers are bound by their own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information and generated content for as long as your account is active. When you delete content it is removed from your gallery; backups and logs may persist for a limited period. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information except where we’re required to retain it (for example, billing records for tax and accounting).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of significant incidents where required.

7. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect sign-in and other functionality.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly in your account, or contact us to exercise these rights. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Children

Seedance Studio is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10. International transfers

We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect your information when it’s transferred internationally.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
